Founder Spotlight
Hon. Kennedy Asafo-Adjei, affectionately known as Ken, is a Ghanaian-American diplomat, public servant, and community leader known for his dedication to public service and cultural diplomacy. As Founder and President of the USA-Ghana Network, he advances U.S.-Ghana relations through trade, education, cultural exchange, and high-level engagement.
With over 27 years of service at the Massachusetts Department of Developmental Services, he has consistently championed equity, inclusion, and support for underrepresented communities. His civic leadership spans collaboration with the Worcester Regional Chamber of Commerce, members of Congress, State Representatives, and Mayors on initiatives focused on economic development and immigrant integration.
A skilled convener, Hon. Asafo-Adjei has organized the USA-Ghana Business Forum and Investment Summit, connecting African and American leaders. He served on the Worcester Citizens Advisory Council for Districts 2 and 3 and is an active member of the Massachusetts African Council, Worcester Immigrants and Refugees Coalition, and the African Bridge Network. He also serves on the board of Akwaaba Health Clinic, addressing healthcare gaps in immigrant communities.
Beyond politics, Ken is a cultural ambassador. He produced the award-winning Sing-Along show on WCCA-TV and supported the launch of Ghanaian radio stations that promote African identity and unity. He is widely known for mobilizing communities through town halls and civic events.
He holds a Graduate Certificate in Public Administration, a Bachelor’s in Political Science, and dual Associate Degrees in Business Management and Healthcare Administration. He is a passionate advocate for African advancement and a respected voice in U.S.-Ghana affairs.
